Attn: All WABCO staff

As we find ourselves in another Covid wave 8 months after the first began, it is more important than ever that we take this virus seriously, and modify our lifestyles to reflect the ramifications of its power to spread. If you’re reading this, it means you have chosen to work at WABCo during this pandemic, and we thank and commend you for that.

By electing to work at WABco during these times, we expect you to conduct yourself in a responsible manner when not at work. This means maintaining a very small bubble in your personal life. We expect you to limit your exposure to the bare minimum - your roommates, or folks you have no choice besides interacting with. People with whom you come in contact should likewise be responsible. If you expose yourself to risky situations outside of work, you’re risking not only your own health, but that of the co-workers and our business in general. We have been incredibly fortunate to remain open in spite of a couple scares so far - and we can only maintain this with your diligence and fortitude in the face of this virus.

If you have found yourself at risk of exposure, please inform Jesse or Mike right away. We will cover your shifts until you provide a Covid test with a negative result. We understand that this isn’t easy - but with cases at an all time high, you need to make the choice whether you are going to isolate yourself when not at work, or come back to work when the pandemic has abated.

To be clear - coming to work when you’ve potentially been exposed to Covid-19 is grounds for suspension or termination. If any action by an employee is deemed to have been an exposure risk, we will require a negative test for that employee to come back to work. The health of our employees is something we treat with the utmost importance, and we expect that to be the sentiment for our whole WABCo family.

-Jesse Shepherd-Bates
